I honestly do not know where to start with all of this. I can literally write a freakin book about all the crap that went down since the last time I did What's Up Wednesday. My personal life and academic life was something. But, to save all the little details that are not very entertaining; I guess I will just start right at the climax of it all. The week before finals.

So it wasn't enough that finals were coming up, but all my professors were like, "Hey everything is due and oh I forgot to tell you, but here is another project due." And I'm like WTF! However, like the classic line from Beauty and the Beast states, that's a tale as old as time. Every college student has dealt with the crazy professor that lives to torture his or her students, so that is nothing new at all. You just have to put on your grown up pants and deal with it. So I was ready for that, admittedly I did have some breakdowns. I was more then glad that my roommate got a job working at night so there wouldn't be any witnesses to my mini breakdowns. Anyways as you can tell college was getting to me, then I got a call, from my boss. I work in retail so that should say enough (picture below can sum it up). So when I got this call from my boss I was like what in the world do you want. This man has not scheduled me in the past month because I was late one day. I am not bragging when I say I get the most stuff done out of all of my employees. Majority of them are all still in high school and just here so they can have more money to buy designer clothes and pay for their underage drinking habits. While I am here working because I need money for books and all the other expenses that comes along with being a college student. So I had to put aside my pride and the urge of telling my boss exactly what was on my mind and instead said sure I can come in today and help. Because at the end of the day I need the money and sometimes that trumps sharing what is really on my mind.
So after that day of work it was official I was beyond over with everything. I was done with this whole "perfecting" my work for college and dealing with people who did not appreciate my efforts. So I did what any "done with" college student would do; I hit that Netflix button and ran into this in my "recommended" picks.
I never heard of this little jewel before so of course I had to look it up and see if it was worth my time. Apparently it has been compared to these two female dominating movies.
When I found out that G.B.F was being compare to Mean Girls and Clueless I was like:
This movie just came out the blue. How could they possibly be considered in this category? However, I gave it a chance, and this movie gave me the laughter I so desperately needed. Fifteen minutes into the movie, there was only one thing on my mind:
So I called Buttercup as fast as I could and told her to watch this movie right here, right now. Because what use is watching a fabulous movie and not being able to quote lines from it with your girlfriends? Nonetheless, Buttercup did not watch it immediately (which still has our friendship on the rocks), but it is on her "to watch list".
You got till the end of the month Buttercup, May 31, to watch G.B.F.
Anyways back to G.B.F, my little happiness. This movie does not carry the best of script writing, but the lines that are delivered throughout it makes it darn near perfect.

After watching this movie and the iheartradio Awards which was made absolutely amazing by Rihanna's facial expressions throughout it all and Jared Leto's, my future husband #3, performance. Admittedly he did feature Kayne a little too much, but who can be mad at Jared and his ocean blue eyes and locks of ombre silk. If you missed it and have no clue what I am talking about, you're in luck here it is.
Now that performance right there was enough to finish refueling me and I was ready to take on these finals. I legitimately walked into my Spanish exam like, "Hola, Puntas." I flew through every exam like they were a freakin survey. If anybody asked me about my exams the only thing I remember is that there was a pencil and paper involved. So as you can tell finals are more then behind me. It's like last summer Gucci purse, it needs to be forgotten, and that it shall.

And just like April Showers bring May Flowers, College Exams bring Dorm Move Out day! Now this day brings about mixed emotions. One moment I'm beyond happy that school is over with and I can go back to being unproductive, but then I realize I have to pack all this crap up. When you are living somewhere for 30+ days you start to accumulate a lot of stuff. Now, I am a person that believes if I kept it for this long then it must be important so it took me forever to throw out what I needed to leave behind and what I should keep. After a numerous amount of hours spent packing I was finally ready to move back home and start the summer. And what better way to start the summer then going to a concert, right? That's exactly what I did this past Saturday. I put on a cute summer dress and went to go see these three amazing people.
I would love to go into detail about each one of these artists, but I'll control myself and save that for another day and just state a quick overview. They are all Christian artists, but each represent a different genre within the Christian Music. LeCrae is hip hop, Toby Mac is pop and a little R&B, and Skillet is Rock all the way. Their music is amazing because it's not your typical "Sunday school jams." They have nice beats and rhythms to them that will have their songs stuck in your head, in a good way. I'll leave some videos down below of their music for you to check out.
Moving on to the theme of the week. We here at We Wear Pink are proud to say that the fierce Buttercup is officially a year older!
Buttercup's birthday was the first B-Day we celebrated as a We Wear Pink family. So of course it had to be fun. We celebrated the only way WWP knows how to celebrate anything, with food, shopping, and a mini road trip.
We started the day at the perfect time, noon. We drove around the hometown looking for a great place to eat and chatting it up. We were having so much fun listening to Kendrick that we literally left our state. We ended up in some weird area where there was nothing but fast food places and a gas station. So you know we were like okay we need to get the heck out of here and back into a place of comfort. So with the help of the gas station lady we were back on our path to finding a good restaurant that Buttercup hasn't eaten at. Which was hard if I do say so myself, because we all love to eat so trying to find a place we haven't, took awhile aka which is why we got lost. After we found our way back in the right state we decided to go eat at Macaroni Grill and the food was great. I had an Italian classic, spaghetti, and Buttercup had some delicious smelling lobster ravioli. I can't really say what Bubbles had, but it looked good on her plate.
Anyways after lunch we of course had to shop off all those calories; so we hit the nearest makeup store and invested in building our makeup collection. Now I came out to this luncheon with a budget in mind, but who can stick to that when makeup is on the line and it's all buy one get one 50% off. You just can't. That's why Buttercup and I bought a ton of makeup essentials, which is the perfect way to end a birthday luncheon, but not the end of Buttercup's birthday week. Because tomorrow at 8:00pm Buttercup and I will be seeing The 1975!

The excitement that has been boiling up inside of Buttercup and me in preparation for this concert is crazy. The 1975 is sexy and their music cannot be described. It's a mixture of everything from 80s classic rock to a touch of jazz. Even that explanation doesn't give them justice so here is two of my favorite songs by them.
If you enjoyed that one here is another!
So that's what has been happening in my life, until next time.
