Godzilla is essentially a destroyer. Neither good nor bad, he is simply the best thing to ever come out of Japan besides sushi, pagodas, samurais, and Koda Kumi. For this week's Snapshot Saturday I wanted to pay tribute to a power woman. I was introduced to her by Mommy Blossom when I was just a young girl looking through magazines for inspiration. This woman has dipped her hands in almost every field out there and has succeed quite well in all. Who is this woman? The release of Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence samples the line from a classic 60's song by girl group The Crystals. In it they sing "He hit me. It felt like a kiss." With the same passive naivete, Lana sings the same words forcing the listener to draw their own conclusions on her opinion on an abusive relationship. That's why, this Throwback Thursday I'm looking back on abuse in the entertainment industry. Whether it be Mike Tyson forcibly raping his wife or Scandal star, Columbus Short's recent violent attacks on his wife. It's a fascinating and startling look back on negative actions and what has been done about it.
Every so often you get a little down in the dumps, but there is a quick fix to that. if your sick order it but for those of us who are more than a little sad, making these will surely perk you up. I'm talking comfort foods dolls. Head to Tasty Tuesday's and get cookin'.
